Greetings: The Los Angeles NAACP Branch, along with the California State Branches and the Region 1 Branches, bring you greetings and welcome to our home for the 2011 NAACP National Convention.
It is our fondness wish that this 2011 convention be the very best convention in memory for all delegates, officers, members and visitors. We on the west coast want to initially focus on the business and goals of the 2011 NAACP Convention while simultaneously impressing you with the breath of the NAACP's presence on the west coast, and then proceed to enlighten you to all of the wonderful adventures the west coast has to offer.
We intend to entertain you, feed you and do everything possible to make your Los Angeles and west coast experience a beautiful memory of hard work, pleasure and hope, lest we forget the NAACP mission:
The mission of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People [NAACP] is to ensure the political, educational, social and economic equality of rights of all person.
In memory of our founding fathers/mothers of diverse backgrounds, but common goals, visions, hopes and dreams, we strive to make America a truly color-blind society one NAACP member at a time: AFFIRMING AMERICA'S PROMISE."
NAACP membership makes a positive difference in the lives of Americans, and provides an opportunity to become an important part of a network of hundreds of thousands of member advocates.
With the help of loyal supporters like you, 2010 was an amazing year for the NAACP. But we need your help to continue the fight in 2011 to make America a better place for citizens of all colors.
Your NAACP membership is more than a contribution. You are joining the team that has been on the forefront of civil and human rights battles for more than one hundred years.
